D’Andre Brooks

D’Andre Brooks, a reformer, advocate and San Diego native is continuing to positively impact his community. As a member of San Diego’s Commission on Gang Prevention and Intervention and a Juvenile Justice Program Associate at the Children’s Initiative in San Diego, Brooks is fighting to provide opportunities and resources for young at-risk youth. While spending his young adult life years incarcerated, Brooks decided to take control of his future and began educating and manifesting a new life for himself. His resilience, despite having two strikes, is a testament to his unwavering ability to pursue a career that focuses on making an impact, not only in his life but in the lives of others.

Brooks graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Criminal Justice and is currently studying for his Masters of Public Administration. Today he is an entrepreneur and an active father.
